From Technical Expertise to Strategic Impact

I joined Kalmar in June 2022 as an IT Coordinator, seeking a position that would allow me to combine my technical background with coordination and leadership responsibilities. The international scope of the company, its commitment to innovation in logistics, and the opportunity to contribute to a robust, future-oriented IT infrastructure were key factors in my decision to join.

From the beginning, I appreciated the level of trust and autonomy I was given.

At Kalmar, IT is not just a support function; it plays a strategic role in enabling the business. That positioning allows for a proactive approach and encourages initiative, which aligns well with my way of working.

With over 15 years of experience in IT – in roles ranging from system administrator to consultant and coordinator – I’ve developed the ability to bridge technical execution and business needs. Over time, my focus has shifted from hands-on tasks to broader responsibilities such as process improvement, project management, and stakeholder collaboration. Kalmar has strengthened my perspective on IT as a strategic driver of organizational performance.

One of the most impactful projects I’ve contributed to was the company’s separation from Cargotec. Together with internal teams and external partners, we successfully built a new Information Management organization within just 18 months. This project represented both a technical and managerial milestone in my career, and it significantly shaped the way Kalmar operates as an independent entity today.
