Contract Manager EMEA Front Line North, Rotterdam
I started my career at Kalmar with a six-month internship during my bachelor studies in economics and logistics. After that, I worked part-time at Kalmar for more than four years and obtained my master’s qualification. I joined the organisation full time in April 2009, eventually progressing to my current position as a Contract Manager.
As a Contract Manager I focus on all machines in the rental fleet, such as reachstackers, empty container handlers, forklifts and terminal tractors. I’m involved in the entire rental process, which starts with a quotation and ends after five or more years when the used machine is sold on.
What I like most about my job is the fact that I work with a great diversity of people from both inside and outside Kalmar, and that each day brings a new challenge. I’m in daily contact with customers and suppliers, and internally with the sales department regarding new contracts and with the service department regarding the technical status of the machine and its maintenance costs. Of course I also work with the financial department to monitor the performance of the rental contracts.
