Kalmar T2i Terminal Tractors fitted with a Cummins engine are certified to use HVO100 fuel which can reduce your carbon emission by up to 90%. If you own an older certified machine, you just need to discuss with your local Kalmar support team if your equipment needs a minor upgrade or if it is ready to start using HVO100 straight away.

What is the difference between a terminal tractor, yard truck, and shunt truck?
At Kalmar, we use the term "terminal tractor" as a universal reference for shunt trucks, yard trucks, yard spotters, and shunters. This acknowledges the diverse terminology used in different countries, influenced by localized preferences. Despite the variations in names worldwide, they all refer to the same equipment, which remains consistent in functionality and purpose.
What different lifting capacities are available?
There are three different lifting capacities available for you to choose from for your T2i Terminal Tractor; 28, 32 and 36 tonnes, which you choose will be dependent on your requirements.
Which 5th wheel do I choose?
Selecting one of the three Holland 5th wheels that can be fitted to your shunt or yard truck is reliant on the wheelbase you choose and what types of loads and their weights you will be moving.
Is the T2i suitable for ports and distribution centres?
The Kalmar T2i Terminal Tractor has been specifically designed to move a variety of trailer based loads in both ports, terminals, intermodal yards and distribution centres. This yard truck can also be used to shift laden or unladen trailers around in industrial applications.

What safety features are fitted as standard?
Every Kalmar T2i Terminal Tractor is fitted with: 2-point seat belts, 3-point contact system for accessing the cab, rear access platform, anti-slip finish on all climbing surfaces, hydraulic tilting cabin, engine warning and protection systems, reversing and LED lights, neutral start switch, large in cabin display, error code information and pillarless windshields with convex mirrors, plus many more fitted as standard.
